May 3D Outdoor Shoot and Work Parties
The May 3D shoot will be held at the outdoor range on May 22 starting at 8 a.m.Registration will begin at 8 a.m. and run until 12 p.m. Work parties will be held beginning the weekend before the shoot. These work parties and details are listed:

Sunday, May 15 – Work party at outdoor range at 9 a.m. to set up targets.

Monday, May 23 – Work party at 5 p.m. at indoor range to unload targets.
The parking lot at the outdoor range also needs to be mowed. If you can assist with this please contact Lee Pereksta (see email below).
Help with registration and concessions are also needed. Pop and candy are to be the main items sold.
Contact Lee Pereksta at hunterleep@cox.net if you have a pickup truck and are able to help with the May 13 or May 22 transport of targets to and from the outdoor range.
N100 Organizational Meeting
An organizational meeting for the upcoming N100 will be held in Wahoo, NE on May 24.If you are interested in attending, meet Bart Witte at the indoor range at 5 p.m.
Archery Demonstration
Lee Pereksta will be giving an archery demonstration to students at the Legacy Primary school. The school is located around 168thand Locus Street in western Omaha.
It was originally suggested that a crowd of 50 to 60 children ranging in age from 3 to 5 would be a little overwhelming. However, the school contact emphasized that the children are very well behaved and that eight adults will also be present.
The exact date for the demonstration is still to be decided.Dates in late May (possibly May 31) and early June (possibly June 6 or 10) were mentioned. The demonstration will be held at (the school?) at around 1 or 2 p.m.Please contact Lee Pereksta (see email on page 1) if you are interested in participating.
Ahamo Community Night
The Ahamo indoor range will be opened to the public on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.The purpose of this would be to allow the shooting public the chance to try the range for a small fee and add to Ahamo recruitment. The charge for shooting would be $8.
If you would like to help with this reoccurring event please contact Jeremy Smetana at 366-1324.Shooters under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
An advertisement for this event was posted on Craig's List.It was also brought up that fliers should be posted in outdoor stores in the area.
Outdoor Range Possibility
Members discussed a possible new outdoor range location.Obtaining access to this site may involve the writing of a grant.Bart Witte will likely meet with the Regional Director of Parks to discuss specifics. If access is obtained, the club will need to build targets and there may be a cost involved.
Indoor Range Progress and Conditions
One section of the indoor range targets have had the cardboard rotated and layers of suspended carpet hung behind.A member commented that the carpeting allows for arrows to be drawn from the target smoother resulting in less damage to arrows through lost tips.
The indoor range was found in a mess on several occasions during the past month.Clean up after yourselves. This is a shared facility made possibly through the dues of many members. Be respectful.
