Key Dates to Remember
Monthly Meeting – Monday, September 12

Ahamo Community nights – Every Tuesday, 6 – 9 p.m.

Ahamo Beginners night – 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month (closed to members not shooting as beginners).

August Club Meeting
The monthly meeting was held on August 1 with 14 members in attendance.

New Members
Four new members were voted into the club: Kevin and Anne Rutland, Daniel and Jennifer Fairman, Beverly Hall, and Zander and Valerie Scheer.  Welcome to the Ahamo Archery club.

 New Spiderweb Targets
Two Spiderweb targets were bought and installed in the indoor range on July 27.  THEY ARE NOT DESIGNED FOR BROADHEADS.  Please do not shoot broadheads into these targets.  Donations covered a large portion of the target prices.  Donations are still welcome to continue to cover the costs.

 July 31 3D Update
Nineteen shooters attended and feedback was positive from one attending shooter.  Attendance was low likely due to another shoot held by Golden Arrow on the same weekend.  Thanks to Jeremy for setting up the course for this shoot.  Jeremy used the popup targets the club was thinking of selling in this tournament.  The club will likely retain these targets for future shoots as they were a positive addition to the shoot.

 Two Rivers Outdoor Range
A few additional details are being worked out in regards to the outdoor range.  The site proposed by Two Rivers management was originally away from the cabooses and Bart waded in through water.  A site closer to the cabooses was selected; this site includes the wildlife management area (WMA).  A road goes through this area that we will be able to use for target setup.  Two Rivers requests we put of targets (not yet determined if these will be 3D or basic targets).  The wildlife area can be used for the shoots, but not for regular club use.  A garage will be available for the storage of targets.  The area is also an equestrian area so use of the area may be limited.

 Indoor Range Improvements
Jeremy has painted the lines on the floor of the range.  The banners have been hung and carpet has been installed behind the targets.

Ahamo Community Night
The Ahamo indoor range is open to the public on Tuesdays from 6 to 8 p.m.  The purpose of this is to allow the shooting public the chance to try the range for a small fee and add to Ahamo recruitment.  The charge for shooting is be $8.

If you would like to help with this reoccurring event please contact Jeremy Smetana at 366-1324.  Shooters under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.
An advertisement for this event is posted on Craig's List.  It was also brought up that fliers should be posted in outdoor stores in the area.

Ahamo Beginners Shoot
The Ahamo Beginners Night is held on the fist and third Wednesday of the month beginning at 7 p.m.  This is a general beginners class open to club members and people outside the Ahamo club.  The cost for bow rental and basic instruction is $8.  If you would like more information contact Jennifer Davis at (402)517-0856.

 Ahamo Facebook Page
