This will be the second annual club championship tournament to determine the club champions in 3 divisions only, for both men and women. The divisions will be Release, Fingers, and Bare Bow.
There is no cost, and all club members are invited to participate. Members are encouraged to bring baked goods, deer sausage, or anything else they would like to share. We hope to make it a fun evening.
There will be no awards, other than to print all scores in the newsletter, and to put the club champions names on the club championship plaque that is currently on display at the indoor range. The tournament will start sometime around 7:00 P.M.
Ahamo Bow Raffle
Dorothy Cubrich donated a bow to the club, which we will be raffling off at our May 23rd 3D shoot. Thank you Dorothy for your generous donation. Club members can pick up Raffle tickets from Ed Rabarich, and return them to him when they are sold. The raffle is for a Bear Compound First Strike XL bow. Ed brought it to our last club meeting: it’s a sharp looking bow with a real pretty camo color.
Indoor Leagues
The indoor leagues will end on March 30th. Thank you Rich Stone for running the leagues for the club.
Feel free to come out and shoot along with the league until it ends, shooting starts at 7:00 every Tuesday (there is a small fee for shooting along with the league).
The week after the league ends is when we will hold our indoor championships (Tues Apr 6).

Internet Newsletter
Several of our members are now receiving an internet copy of the newsletter. If you would like to sample this, please let me know. I can send a printed copy, Internet copy, or both depending on what you want. If you want to sample this or change how you are receiving the newsletter: Email me at Hunterlee@msn.com, or call me.
Sportsmen’s Quest
The Sportsmen’s Quest will be on May 7 thru May 9. It’s the North American Bowhunters Nebraska State 3-D Championship, and will be held at Branched Oak Lake. Bill Lewis is organizing this event and has the support of several local archery organizations.
At the last club meeting, the Club voted to support this event. Bill needs members to help plan the course layout, help set up the range, and he has many other tasks needing assistance. The event could draw 1,500 or more archers. If you can help, please contact Bill Lewis.

Ahamo Champions
Some of our club members have done well in recent tournaments. At the Grand Island Silver Dollar Tournament; Bill Rhoades won the Freestyle division, Bill Arledge won the Senior Freestyle division, and Kit Secord took second in that same division. Also, Bill Arledge won the Senior division at the Midwest Sectionals - winning in a shootoff for first place.
Robbie Valeika Shoots 60x 300
Robbie shot a 60x 300 round at the Iowa Indoor State Championship. This was the first time a 60x indoor round has been shot at this tournament. In fact, very few archers in the country can say they shot a 60x 300 in competition - way to go Robbie.
Congratulations go out to Robbie, and our other club members for doing so well. If anyone has the results of any other tournament - please pass them on to me so I can put them in the newsletter.
Club Shirts
If you would like a club shirt, contact Dave Holthouse. When we get enough requests, he will place an order. Polo Shirts are $15.00 and T-Shirts are $9.00

The Draw Length Formula
Bill Lewis found the following for the newsletter; Most of it is from the January-February edition of Archery, The voice of Field Archery, NFAA, IFAA and Bowhunting. Thank you Bill for providing this:
1. Stand with your back against a wall. 2. Stretch your arms at shoulder height with your palms out. 3. Measure from the tip of the middle finger on one hand to the tip of the middle finger on the other hand (not to the tips of your fingernails). 4. Use the following measurement to find your draw length. Note: for every additional inch of “wingspan” add 1/2 inch AMO and visa versa if it is less than the following chart. This is not an anchor point measurement. The chart will accommodate 95% of the archery population. 65 inches = 24 1/2 inches AMO Draw 66 25 67 25 1/2 68 26 69 26 1/2 70 27 71 27 1/2 72 28 73 28 1/2 74 29 74 29 1/2 75 20 76 30 1/2 77 31
