January 16 Club Meeting News
Club Meeting highlights
The January meeting and Club Banquet was held at Mr. C's, and was attended by 33 members. We Introduced the new officers for 1998, approved the 1997 treasurer's report, and handed out club service awards and deer awards.
The food was excellent, the service was good, and the meeting did not appear too long. Thank you to all that attended
New Members
We had three applications to read in at the annual meeting. All were accepted as potential new members of the club, per the December meeting approval of a motion to accept new members that cannot make it to a meeting. However, they will not be considered members until we receive their dues.
New Officers
We had an unanimous ballot for club officers. The Officers for 1998 are identified under 'Club Officers' above. Congratulations to all new officers and thanks to the outgoing officers; especially to Mike Stanner. Thank you Mike for your two years of service as president of the Ahamo Archery Club.

Then 30 seconds after getting into his stand the second time deer hunting, shot a nice 4x4; then shot another 4x4 his next time out 3 days later. Add to that a Fontenelle Forest doe, and Jeff has a full freezer this year.

Other Awards
The award for outstanding service to the Ahamo Archery Club for 1997 went to Roy Canterbury for all he has done for the club last year. Thank you for all of your work on the 3D committee. Several members received certificates at the banquet for outstanding service to the club in 1997. There were too many to accurately list them all, so I can only say thank you to all members that received a service award.
Work Party Drawing All members attending workparties in 1997, had their names put in a drawing for each 4 hours of workparties they attended. The winners of the $30 awards (to pay for their deer license in 1998) Ron Francis, Bill Rhoades, Dick Glaseman, Harry Thompson, and Chris Stokes.
