(note that cross bows cannot be used at our range because the arrows are too short and become lost in our cardboard backstops)
The Ahamo Archery club has been in existence since 1968. It is a non-profit organization existing only to promote the sport of Archery.
The Club has a beautiful indoor range and an outdoor range used mainly for 3D tournaments. The indoor range is located at 3520 I Street in Omaha Nebraska. The range is well lit, well maintained, has 20 shooting positions, and we feel it is the finest indoor shooting facility in the State of Nebraska.
The Club's membership ranges from 60 to 100 families throughout the year.
Our club holds indoor leagues from September through May, and hosts several tournaments throughout the year. The indoor range is located at 3520 I Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
The Ahamo Archery Club has Monthly meetings on the first Monday of every Month except January. In January we hold our Annual Banquet on the second or third weekend of the month.
Our Club dues are $120 per year for a working membership and $192 per year for a non working membership. There is also a $10.00 initiation fee for new members. Members receive keys to the indoor range, can participate in leagues (non-members are welcome, but at a higher league fee), can attend club meetings, and receive deer awards at the annual banquet for deer harvested during the hunting season.
There are also miscellaneous club functions throughout the year. Members are asked to support Ahamo by attending at least 1/3 of our workparties to set up and run tournaments, and for general upkeep of the club.
Members not making their commitment each year may be assessed an additional membership fee the following year, up to a maximum membership fee of $192. Special allowances are permitted if members are physically unable to make commitments or have special job considerations.
Several of our members are Bowhunter Education instructors, and we have several members that shoot 300's at our indoor leagues and tournaments. Note that we encourage beginners to participate in leagues and it is not uncommon to find experienced archers working with others on their form or to help tune equipment. We have a bow press at the indoor range, a bow scale, and a paper tuner.
Our club has a fairly even split of Target archers and Bowhunters, with quite a few that are active in both Hunting and Target.
